What Is a Sound Bath?

Waves of soothing, echoing sound from various instruments, also known as a “sound bath,” stress, fatigue, and depression symptoms are among a some of the things it helps.

How does a sound bath work?

Sound baths can trigger a phenomenon called “sound healing.” Sound healing has been a home remedy favored by many cultures for thousands of years. Typically, a sound bath will involve sitting or lying in a reclining position.  Next, a provider trained in sound bath musical techniques will use one or several instruments to create soothing, overlapping vibrations. These vibrations lead you deeper into a state of contemplation or relaxation, shutting off your body’s fight-or-flight reflex. At the end of a session, your provider will guide you back to a feeling of awareness before concluding the sound bath.

Sounds affect all three human levels: the physical, mental and spiritual:

-deep relaxation and muscle regeneration

-pain relief for joints, muscles, sciatica, headache, and migraine

-better digestion

-better energy flow and improved blood circulation

-elimination of toxins from the body

-better immune system

-relaxed mind, mental/emotional tensions and blockages are eased

-better concentration

-feelings are activated and released

-more energy and strength in everyday life

-improved self-confidence, boosted creative and productive potential

 -positive feeling of self

-better balance and harmony in your life
